Visit from Colleen!

As the final week of school was wrapping up, my first visitor of the summer arrived - Colleen! Colleen and I know each other from our study abroad trip to Italy in 2006. I hadn't seen her for over three years, so it was wonderful that she was able to visit for a week. We laid low in Mussoorie for the first 6 days, with lots of shopping, eating, and a few little day trips. Then we headed south into the sweltering heat of the plains. We spent two nights in Delhi and did a day trip to Agra to see the Taj Mahal and the Red Fort. We also picked up visitor #2 - Laura's brother! After the trip to Agra, I said farewell to Colleen and we returned to the (relatively) cool temps of Mussoorie. All the students are gone, but we still have a few staff meetings before summer officially starts.

Happy to have survived the heat - 112 degrees!
