In 10 days, I managed to fly 9 times. I'm trying not to think about how unhealthy that is for the environment. Anyways, to round out my winter break I managed to go to NYC, Paris, Goa (south India), and back to Woodstock.
-NYC: Mom and I headed to the big apple to visit a grad program I'm interested in at NYU.
Korean Barbecue in New York.
Mom looking out over Times Square.
Reunited with Alex!
Taken after I was on MTV with Kevin Manno and Holly Madison. And I got free ice cream - a good day!
The dangerous duo :)
-Paris: After seeing that we had a layover in Paris, Kate and I inquired about turning it into a 24-hour stop over. With a cost of Rs 800 (about $15) it seemed like a pretty good deal! With travel time and sleep time, we ended up spending the better part of a day in the heart of Paris. We walked far and fast, seeing Notre Dam, the Eiffel Tower, and Arch de Triomphe in under 3 hours. We also ate crepes, hot wine, baguettes, and meringues. Overall, a fun day!
Please note the woman in the foreground. Outside Notre Dam.
Eiffel Tower!
Ice skating outside the Hotel.
-Goa: Kate and I also made the genius decision to return to India a few days early in order to get over jetlag before staff meetings started. Where better to do that than on the beach?!? We stayed on Agonda Beach (same place I went to last year). This time, we got beach huts right on the beach. We met up with 10 other coworkers and basically slept, ate, read, swam, and sunbathed for 5 days. Perfect.
Dawn on the beach - my favorite time of day!

SO HAPPY! What a great trip...and now you're back in the grind, eh?! It was so great to see you...I'm glad you fit that in to your trip back too. :)
You've had a very productive "break" and wisely returned early to rest up for the new semester. Welcome back to Woodstock! Will eagerly follow your next adventures and impressions of this semester. Blessings! Bill K.
